From today's NY Times comes a story that reminds me of letterboxers of yore:

Thanks for sharing, Doug!
That's the best non-letterboxing story I've read in a long time.

Doug,
thanx for sharing this story.
it really gets you to thinking, what a hobby we have, that something like this could be incorporated into it. your very own letterbox, right in your own home.

Oh, that is such a cool story! Amazing that such an elaborate "puzzle" was
created as a "gift" to the owners. Really makes me want to concentrate on
developing some more elaborate clues for my own boxes.

If I lived there, the kids would never get a chance, much less a meal.

Wow, so incredibly cool. I wish I had that kind of talent and
sneakiness!
So, has anyone else deciphered the radiator cover yet? After reading
the article, I just HAD to sit here and work the code (when I should
be leaving the office and going home)!

What a wonderful place to live- and how much fun to solve the puzzles. As I move around a lot it has given me some ideas to leave for the newest occupants of the house. As a new home owner I enjoy finding a treasure from the previous occupants.
Thank you for the posting.
